Custom vs Prefab Infrared Sauna

Fit, performance, cost and when each wins

Choose custom if your space is awkward, you want full-body heater coverage with documented low EMF, or you want real red-light therapy at 2–6 in. Choose prefab if you need the lowest price and fastest delivery and a standard 2-person box fits. Custom (e.g. SaunaCloud Atlas/Sierra, Sunlighten custom, Clearlight kits) is drawn to your room with 3D + electrical plans; prefab forces the room to fit the box.[1][2]

Rule of thumb: if you will use it 3–7×/week for years, custom’s placement + cedar + warranty pays back. If testing whether you like infrared, start prefab (Dynamic/JNH) then upgrade.
