SaunaCloud was founded in 2014 to build truly custom saunas rather than resell white-label boxes. Kiggins, author of The Definitive Guide to Infrared Saunas, positioned the firm as “an engineering company that builds saunas,” developing heaters, power supplies, PCBs and controls in-house.[1][5] By 2026 the company reported 3,000+ installs across North America, showroom in Diamond Springs, and coverage in Forbes, Inc., Fast Company and USA Today logo strips on its site.[1]

Technology: VantaWave + red light [edit]

VantaWave® panels are specified at ~190°F surface, ~7.9µm peak (far-IR), emissivity ~0.97, with complete-system average <0.20 mG magnetic field at the seated position through combined wiring, grounding, shielding and CORE 5 power delivery.[1][3] Red light uses medical-grade 660nm red + 850nm near-infrared LEDs embedded in bench and backrest — within the 2–6 in. therapeutic window — versus wall strips at 24 in.+ that lose up to ~95% intensity with distance.[2][4] Both run through one WiFi app, independently or combined with heat.[2]
